Apprentices

Our Apprentices learn the tools of the trade first-hand in a supportive learning environment. Skills learned cover the full range of plumbing activity, from on-site ‘pipes at walls’ to detailed fit-off’s for high end apartment buildings. At the end of this apprenticeship, JC McCall Plumbing apprentices have a thorough grounding in the trade, setting a strong foundation for a great future.

JC McCall Plumbing has close ties with both local and global charities and organisations. Owner, Clare McCall is heavily involved with Rotary and also has her own charity, in honour of her dad John, called the ‘ Himalayan Leaky Foundation’. The foundation provides water and sanitation to people in need, as well as literacy classes and women empowerment projects. Our support and encouragement of an active employee social club ensures our staff and their families have opportunities to meet and relax at regular organised events.

Great Apprenticeships

While many plumbing companies have cut their apprenticeship schemes, JC McCall Plumbing ‘s commitment to the industry has seen us maintain and build our programme. We retain a ratio of one apprentice to every three plumbers on our permanent staff. Once on board, apprentices spend four years with us learning the tools of the trade first-hand in a supportive learning environment. Skills learned cover the full range of plumbing activity. At the end of their apprenticeship, JC McCall Plumbing apprentices have a thorough grounding in the trade, setting a strong foundation for a great future.
